Circulations – Total Football/Goal/Ikon/That’s Life

The first unaudited circulation figures for the new magazines which launched this year have been released recently. Future Publishing which launched its Total Football magazine just one month before its rival, IPC’s Goal, seems to be just winning the circulation battle with an independent audit of 81,490 for the first issue. Goal magazine, however is selling an average of 78,000 copies a month out of a print run of 110,000. Both magazines hope to be included in the next ABC audit Jul-Dec 1995.

The glossy style magazine Ikon, published by European Business Communications which launched in July with an initial print run of 150,000, now has an average circulation of 55,000 from a print run of 90,000.

The new women’s weekly from Bauer, That’s Life has fared well in the crowded market of women’s titles with an average weekly circulation of 515,000 against its main rival IPC’s Eva which has an ABC of 394,155. Bauer hopes That’s Life will receive its first audited figure in the next period between July and December.
