Classic FM Secures Baxters Sponsorship

Classic FM has secured a £650,000 sponsorship deal with Baxters soup for its Classic FM Lunchtime Request Show.

The sponsorship, which begins this week, will last for six months and include trails on the show and links on Classic FM’s website. The strapline for the campaign will be: “Lunchtime request in association with Baxters Soup – the perfect Lunchtime Choice.”

The deal, which was negotiated by GWR sales house Opus Manchester will also include airtime on Leicester Sound, Nottingham’s 96Trent FM, Derby’s RAM FM and Coventry’s Mercia FM.

Opus Regional Director, Dominic Barker, commented: “This is a huge deal for Opus and the largest to be signed by the Opus Manchester office in its history. It is a multifaceted deal with sponsorship of one of Classic FM’s flagship programmes, also featuring airtime and an online presence. The sponsorship will seek to play on the theme of choice for the listener, a selection of symphonies with the suggestion if a different type of soup to compliment their choice of music with.”
