Classic FM To Enter Magazine Market

Classic FM is to enter the consumer magazine market with the launch of Classic FM Magazine early next year. The editorial in the magazine will reflect the station’s programming but will also include general interest features. It is to be published by John Brown Publishing,publishers of Viz and Garden’s Illustrated.

The new title is aiming for a circulation of 100,000 and will challenge BBC Music Magazine, which has a circulation of 64,000. An advertising sales team is to be set up in September and will operate from the station, allowing for cross over between the magazine and the station. The magazine is expected to launch in the third week of February.
