Clear Channel Launches New Banner Division

Clear Channel UK has announced the formation of a new nationwide banner advertising division and a raft of new appointments following the rebranding of the More O’Ferrall as Clear Channel earlier this week (see More O’Ferrall To Rebrand As Clear Channel).

The new division, which will be based in Scotland, will handle Clear Channel’s nationwide portfolio of large banner sites and will be headed by former managing director of Score Outdoor Scotland, Roseanne Grant.

Meanwhile, Paul Flynn will become regional director for the Scottish division of Clear Channel billboards, while Steve George takes on the role of regional director of the Midland’s division. Jim Carter will become regional director for the North and will assume an additional role as director of the regions, overseeing each of the regional offices for Clear Channel’s billboards.

Commenting on the appointments, Jonathan Lewis, managing director of Clear Channel’s billboard division, said: “”These new appointments are part of our restructure of the business as we merge Score with More O’Ferrall. We’ve always said that it’s our intention to build the best billboard business in the UK and these new senior appointments are a key part of this process.”

Clear Channel acquired Score Outdoor from Scottish Radio Holdings earlier this year for £33.5 million (see Score Outdoor Sale To Create Third Force In Market). The company merged Score Outdoor into its own poster division in the hope of creating a third national force in billboard advertising to rival JCDecaux and Maiden (see IPA Outdoor Welcomes Clear Channel UK Acquisition).
