CLT To Examine Bids For Its UK Radio Stations
Luxembourg-based broadcasting company, CLT-UFA recently put its stakes in a number of UK radio stations up for sale. Following this the company has received proposals from a number of interested parties which it is currently examining.
CLT holds a 62% share in Talk Radio, an 80% share in Atlantic 252 and all of RTL Country 1035 AM; all are potentially up for sale. The company also holds a 15% stake in XFM, but this is not to be offered for sale.
It has been expected for some time that the stations would be proffered for sale, although CLT would not make a firm announcement (subscribers see CLT-UFA Reconsiders UK Radio Assets).
GWR Group, Scottish Media Group and Ginger Media Group are believed to be amongst the parties which have submitted proposals to CLT. A spokesperson for CLT-UFA said the company would now be looking at the submissions, although no concrete negotiations were underway with any one party.
