CompuServe Moves Sales In-House

CompuServe, the UK internet service provider, will be moving its ad sales business in-house. This will mean the disbandment of the joint sales venture it ran with Ziff Davis.

Both parties decided they wanted to concentrate on different areas of online sales, with CompuServe looking for expansion in the high-end consumer markets while Ziff wants to move more toward technology markets.

CompuServe will announce the details of its own ad sales business shortly, though it is expected to launch in the Spring.
