Condé Nast has confirmed it is set to launch a twice-yearly style magazine, edited by former Pop editor-in-chief Katie Grand.
The magazine, which is larger than most monthlies, will be made available in March 2009, according to reports in the national press.
Nicholas Coleridge, managing director of Condé Nast, said: “It is a new departure for Condé Nast UK to publish an edgy, high-end style title in this sector, and in Katie Grand we have he perfect editor who brings the perfect team.”
Condé Nast is reportedly undecided on a name for the new title but has promised it will be “edgy and experimental”.
Grand said: “I’m really looking forward to building up a new magazine from scratch again – a fresh start is always fun, and we have lots of ideas we can’t wait to start working on.”
She added: “It’s really exciting to be working with Condé Nast, who publish some of the most important fashion magazines in the world.”
Grand previously worked on the launches of Dazed & Confused and Pop, as well as working for The Face magazine.
