Confusion Over Sky’s NRS Figure

Confusion Over Sky’s NRS Figure

Sky magazine, the men’s style magazine, has had its card altered on the NRS survey to try and reduce respondent’s confusion between it and the satellite TV listings guide, Sky TV Guide.

Jean Wong of NRS told MediaTel that they suspect that the high readership figures enjoyed by Sky may result from some confusion; since October the card prompting Sky warns respondents it is nothing to do with satellite TV.

Sky’s latest readership figure is 3,421,000, an increase of 67% year on year, when its circulation is 140,070. (Ja-J 94, ABC). However, other male interest titles also reported high NRS increases this period: Esquire’s was up by 75.7% year on year. Any effects from the alteration will be available in the October to March NRS figures.
