Consumer Review Sections Advertising Up 140%
The rise in advertising in Newspaper Review sections has been enormous over the past year; 140% for the year ending May 1994 compared to the year ending May 1993. This compares with a growth of 7.7% year on year in the consumer magazine market as a whole.

Advertorials have also shown increases year on year, with rate card revenue from advertorials in women’s weekly publications growing by over 117% during the period April 93 to March 94 in comparison with the previous year.
The fastest growth in advertorials has been from Hello, Woman’s Realm and Woman, although Best is still overall market leader, followed by Woman’s Own.
