Cordiant Reports Profits Up 66%
Global advertising and communications company Cordiant Communications has this morning reported pre tax profits of £17.8 million in its interim results, an increase of 66% compared to the same period last year. Revenues for the group, which includes Bates Worldwide among its interests, were up 34.6% to £209m for the six-month period to the end of June.
The group recently announced the proposed acquisition of Lighthouse Global Network, an international network of specialist communications and marketing businesses (see Cordiant Acquires Lighthouse Global Network). This deal is expected to be completed in September and will make Cordiant the tenth largest marketing and communications group in the world.
Michael Bungey, chief executive of CCG, commented: “These are a record set of results. Combining this performance with the new businesses we have recently acquired, marks a step change in our group. We are building a portfolio of high performance, world class communications brands and we view the future with confidence.”
