Coronation St Special Watched By 17.4 Million

Unofficial overnight viewing figures show that last night’s hour-long Coronation Street special attracted an extra 2.2 million viewers, most of whom appeared to have been Brookside‘s normal audience.

On a normal Wednesday evening Coronation Street attracts around 15.2 million viewers while Brookside is watched by about 3.8 million. Initial data for last night however suggests that 17.4 million watched the Street while only 1 million viewed Brookside.
