The fourth episode of Coronation Street looks likely to be given a Sunday evening slot, it is emerging. The fourth episode is also now not expected to launch until the end of the year, slightly later than the autumn date first predicted.

Coronation Street will then be the only soap opera to be broadcast at the weekend; the scheduling is bound to spark a ratings war with the BBC.
