Ads for the Ford Puma, Coke, Tango, Guinness, Mercedes Benz, Nike, Virgin, VW and Wallis are revealed as some of the personal favourites of the UK’s top advertising agency creative directors in an exhibition to mark the re-opening of the public areas of the IPA on 4th September.
Creative directors from the Top 20 advertising agencies were asked to nominate their favourite ad of 1997 with a short statement about their choice. The resulting exhibition will be on show at the IPA from 4th September until 28th December 1997.
Out of the 20 nominations received there were three ads that were the same choice of seven creative directors. They were for Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO’s Alka Seltzer and BMP DDB’s VW Polo ‘Protection’ and ‘Hiccups’.
