Cross-Media Ads Push Revenues At Emap
Emap announced good trading for the first quarter of the year with increased advertising revenues pushed by cross-media accounts. Speaking at the group’s AGM today, chairman Robin Miller said the creation of Emap Advertising, a merged sales operation, has allowed the company access to previously-unavailable revenue streams.
“The move to combine our consumer advertising activities is progressing. While there has been some disruption due to the relocation of the new sales team, the formation of Emap Advertising is already showing real benefits in terms of new advertising revenues,” Miller said. “Two recent examples of this are the new BT and Bacardi cross-media account wins, which total some £2.5 million of advertising revenue the majority of which would not previously have been available to us.”
French and US markets are also performing well and Emap Digital announced a number of initiatives, including developments within the music and men’s lifestyle markets.
