Cable & Wireless Communications has signed a deal with BSkyB which will see it use the satellite broadcaster as its main supplier of pay-per-view programmes and channels. The move replaces CWC’s previous plans to develop its own programming services.
The CWC/BSkyB agreement has also created tension in the cable industry, which in the past had always maintained a united front in competing against BSkyB.
