The Daily Express announced today that it is increasing its cover price by 2p to 32p from Monday 2 August.
The Daily Express stated today that as it is a mid-market tabloid it is not as price sensitive as the popular tabloids, and that the soon to be introduced improvements will far outweigh this price increase.
The last time that The Daily Express raised its cover price was in October 1991; The Daily Mail’s cover price of 30p was introduced in October 1991 as well. Today,however, remains by far the cheapest mid-market taboid at 25p.
