Daily Mail Could Support Labour

The proprietor of the Daily Mail, Lord Rothermere, has hinted that the title may become pro-Labour in the near future. He first sparked the speculation by moving from the cross-benches in the House of Lords to the Labour side and it is reported that he said on BBC Radio 4’s World At One that if public mood demanded it, the paper would have to change its allegiance regardless of what its editor, Paul Dacre, thought.
