Daily Mirror Breaks New Sponsorship Ground
The Daily Mirror’s sponsorship of Carlton’s new show Take Your Pick is the first to include a sponsor being verbally mentioned during a programme rather than just in the credits.
Although branded sponsor mentions have not been seen before, ITC rules allow two mentions of a sponsor within game shows only. The rules therefore allowed The Daily Mirror to sponsor two of the prizes which featured its branding when the prizes were announced.
The sponsorship credits were designed by M&C Saatchi and featured 5 second break bumpers with a 15 second opening and 10 second closing credit.
