Express Newspapers has confirmed that it is to sponsor the new peak time interactive game show, Raise the Roof, with its Daily Express and Sunday Express titles. The programme hosted by Bob Holness, airs on Saturday 2nd September and runs for 17 weeks. Each week contestants will have the opportunity to win a house worth up to £100,000.

In conjunction with the TV show, the Daily and Sunday Express are offering a separate house every week plus cash prizes for weekly winners. The programme has been produced by Yorkshire television and the sponsorship was negotiated by Sally Kingston, Sponsorship Manager for Yorkshire and Tyne Tees Television at Laser. Sponsorship credits will be produced by DMB&B.

In other sponsorship news, Commercial Union Assurance is to sponsor the new series of LWT’s London’s Burning. The new series starts on Sunday 3rd September and at the end of each programme, will invite the viewers to call a freephone number giving general advice on fire and on issues raised in each programme. The pack will also contain a promotional leaflet for details of Commercial Union’s policies and services.

The sponsorship was negotiated for Commercial Union by CIA Medianetwork and for ITV by Martin Lowd, Sponsorship Manager of Granada and LWT at Laser.

Sponsorship credits will be produced by KHBB and include a 15 second opening sequence, 10 second closing sequence and four five second break bumpers.
