Daily Telegraph Secures M & S Christmas Promotion
![]()
The Daily Telegraph Magazine is to run a special campaign, which will feature upside-down ads, to promote Marks and Spencer’s food in the run-up to Christmas.
The campaign will feature a variety of advertorials and a series of upside-down back cover ads which will appear to “take over” the magazine. According to the Telegraph: “The block of upside advertisement promotion pages in the rear of the magazine and the about-face back cover will give the impression that the back of the magazine is the front cover of a food guide from Marks and Spencer.” This is the first time that the Telegraph Group has run a promotion of this kind.
The deal was negotiated between Caron Stewart, Strategic Planner in the Telegraph Group’s Commercial Development and Walker Media with execution organised by Dorota Key, also a Telegraph Group Strategic Planner.
Earlier this year, the Telegraph secured Inter-Continental Hotels as the sponsor of its Business Travel supplement (see Telegraph Ad Deal Spans Business Titles).
