Dave secures 2009 sponsor

IDS has secured Halfords as a broadcast sponsor for UKTV’s Dave for a further 12 month period.

Halfords has been the sponsor of motoring programming on Dave since July 2007 – the new deal will start on January 1 and run throughout the year.

The agreement covers programmes such as Top Gear, Clarkson’s Extreme Machines and Car of the Year 2009 as well as online sponsorship of the Car of the Year section on joindave.co.uk.

Halford’s sponsorship is said to be the second-biggest on Dave after the beer brand Cobra.

The deal was negotiated with Walker Media by Davina Barker.
