December TV Revenue
Based on agency estimates, December TV revenue for ITV and C4 has come in at £123.84m and £33m respectively, giving a combined total of £156.84m – up 9.3% on 1993. C4 has improved slightly on its share of advertising – with a 21:79 split (C4:ITV) – in previous months the ratio has been 20:80.
In terms of contractors’ share of revenue the best performance by far came from the combined YTTV – up 3.51% points. Westcountry (up 0.12%pts) and Carlton (up 0.53%pts) were the only other contractors to improve on their 1993 shares.
The poorest performances came from LWT – down 1.31% points, despite having one extra trading day in 94 and Central – down 1.34% points.
