Dennis Publishing has bought Health & Fitness magazine from Hubert Burda Media.
The female-orientated magazine posted a circulation of around 35,400 in the first six months of last year, according to ABC figures.
The addition of Health & Fitness boosts Dennis’ portfolio, which already includes Men’s Fitness magazine.
The publishing group acquired the men’s title in the UK and Ireland last September after publishing it under licence from American Media since 2001.
Pete Muir, the editorial director of Men’s Fitness, is expected to take responsibility for both titles .
However, the editorial and advertising team from Health & Fitness will join Dennis Publishing from Hubert Burda Media.
The change-over comes less than a month after Wild Bunch Media launched a women’s monthly fitness title named Women’s Running, with a print run of 60,000 copies and a cover price of £3.
