According to sources, Dennis Publishing will be launching a new men’s magazine. A bi-monthly title is expected to launch in November priced at £2.50. Dennis Publishing hope to exploit the current boom in the men’s magazine sector *(Jan-Jun ’96 ABC Figures: Men’s Magazine Sector) by focusing on clothing, cars, sports and general male lifestyle.
Dennis Publishing will also launch a new bi-monthly computer magazine in October. Tim Ponting (publisher of Future’s PC Format) will become publisher for both the new titles.
Parliamentary Comunications’ Sport First has had its launch delayed until December. This has resulted in three journalists leaving the title although they are expected to return in time for the launch. Originally it was planned for release in time for Euro’96 *(Football Daily Details Confirmed) and is the second time it has been delayed.
