Different Angle For Future Mag
Future Publishing is approaching its latest planned launch from a different angle, giving it an elusive quality before even reaching the newsstands.
The Edge will be introduced with an exceptionally low print run of 40,000 to create a niche market for the title, making it initially available to hard core computer readers and hence slowly building a loyal readership. Speaking to MediaTel this morning about the latest venture, Future journalist Jason Brookes claims that no other computer magazine currently offers the reader the same up to date games information as American titles, but The Edge will change that.
Future is aiming the monthly, due to launch on August 19, at the 20+ bracket, or “computer buffs with more money to spend”. With a cover price of £3 without covermounts, the magazine will have a high quality glossy image with only full colour advertising.
The editor of The Edge is Steve Jarrett and the advertising manager is Jonathan Bint. Colour Page: £1400
