DMC To Launch Comedy And Music Mags

DMC, publisher of the dance music title Mix Mag, is to launch 2 new magazines targeting comedy and gold music fans. Deadpan, which launches on March 24, will cover all types of comedy with interviews, cartoons, features and listings. Features will include artists such as Vic Reeves, French and Saunders and Rik Mayall, together with columns written by some of the top stars in comedy. The monthly title will have a print run of 50,000 and a cover price of £1.95.
Gold will be a music and lifestyle magazine concentrating on the 1950s, 60s and 70s and will target Adults aged 35+. The first issue appears on February 24 and will include an interview with Adam Faith and features on the fifth Beatle, Terry Venables and Mary Quant. Each issue will contain an 8-page listings pull-out covering live events and TV programmes.
Gold will appear monthly with a cover price of £1.95 and will have an initial print run of 80,000. The launch will be accompanied by a campaign on the Gold ILR network.
