Doritos Wins D&AD Gold

Doritos’ sponsorship credits for ITV’s Movie Premieres was awarded the only gold award at the Design and Art Direction awards. This is the first time that sponsorship credits have won an award. The credits, which caused viewer complaints because of their use of dead actors, were praised for being innovative and funny.

Silver awards went to McCann-Erickson’s radio campaign for Sega; Leo Burnett’s press work for Mercedes-Benz; Saatchi & Saatchi’s press campaign for Club 18-30; Foote Cone Belding’s TV and cinema work for Levi Strauss & Co and Weiden & Kennedy’s campaign for Nike, also in the TV/cinema category.
