DoubleClick Delivers Five Billion Ads Worldwide

Global internet advertising solutions company, DoubleClick, has announced that its DART service has served over five billion ads across 6,400 worldwide websites in December last year. The number of ads using DART has increased from three billion in September, through four billion in November, to reach this figure.

DoubleClick’s CEO, Kevin O’Connor, says: “DART’s success is reflected in the overall success of the sites we work with. Doubleclick continues to invest in an engineering team that is monitoring and mapping the internet to develop a suite of internal products that produce maximum efficiency and scalability.”

The UK’s fastest-growing internet service provider (ISP), Dixons’ Freeserve, recently signed a deal with DoubleClick UK to handle Freeserve’s ad space (see DoubleClick To Sell Ad Space On UK’s Fastest-Growing ISP). Freeserve is believed to be close to attaining over one million subscribers. EMAP Consumer Online also recently appointed DoubleClick to handle web advertising across its portfolio of sites (see EMAP Consumer Online Hires DoubleClick To Sell Banner Ads).
