Doubleclick Lands Global Partnership With Carat

Online ad agency, DoubleClick, has secured a global partnership with Carat that will see it become the preferred ad-serving provider for the group’s operations.
Under the new deal Doubleclick will provide ad serving solutions to all of Carat’s Interactive businesses, including Renault and Vodafone for the next two years. Last month Doubleclick secured a similar deal with advertising network, Publicis (see Doubleclick Secures Global Tie-In With Publicis).
In a separate agreement with Carat International, Doubleclick will supply email marketing solutions in the UK and Spain. As part of this relationship, Carat will recommend both Doubleclick’s DART for advertisers and DARTMail solutions to any clients for whom the company implements third party ad serving and email marketing solutions.
Commenting on the deal, Nigel Morris, vice president of Carat International, said: “We find Doubleclick an effective partner especially due to their multiple solutions and geographic reach. As the online advertising market continues to develop, a provider who can deliver multiple solutions worldwide will be increasingly important.”
Last year a survey carried out by Doubleclick concluded that UK advertisers use online marketing more than their European counterparts (see UK Leads Europe In Internet Marketing).
