DTI Drop Anglia And Cordiant Investigation
The Department of Trade and Industry are winding down its investigations into Anglia TV and Cordiant (formerly Saatchi & Saatchi).
The Anglia investigation, the second in 18 months, centred on press reports suggesting a friend of the Archers made £20,000 by trading in Anglia shares.
The Cordiant investigation, which began in June, dealt with share dealings at the time of Maurice Saatchi and a number of executives departure from the company. Bouts of selling caused the share price in the then Saatchi and Saatchi to fall dramatically.
No official statement was forthcoming from the DTI.
