Chairman of the ITV Council, Greg Dyke, has issued a statement this morning following the Independent Television Commission’s efforts to stop the network changing the transmission time of News At 10. It reads;
“The ITV Council has yet to consider the proposal to change the scheduling of the news on ITV. The Council will take into consideration the full range of programming, public interest, commercial, and legal issues and it will only consider changes which are permissible within the law”.
The statement points out that the matter will not be resolved before Monday, July 5.
