Eagle And Biz Closed

Eagle, the children’s comic from Fleetway Edition’s which has been around for 43 years has closed. The last issue was the January 1994 issue. Sales were down to 16,000; this was blamed on children’s interest in computer games and magazines.

Wilmington Publishing has closed its small business title The Biz. News of this comes at the same time as the launch of Your Business from Merlin Publications. (Newsline 12/1). The Biz had a controlled circulation of 100,000 and was aimed at small companies of less than 50 employees; it closed after the first issue.
