Damon Hill’s exploits in Sunday’s Formula One race meant that, according to figures from ITV, EastEnders had one of its lowest ever audiences. While ITV Formula One was watched by a peak of 5.1 million with a 50% share and an average of 4 million (44.5% share), EastEnders had an average audience of 1.4 million (15.5% share) and a peak of 1.7 million (17% share).
