Egmont Magazines has launched a new monthly magazine, Playhouse Disney, aimed at 2 to 4 year-olds.
Launching this week with a cover price of £2.25, the magazine will have an initial print-run of 100,000 copies.
Each issue of the magazine will have branded covermounts; the launch issue will include a giant My Friends Tigger and Pooh ‘Pop and Catch’ game, followed by a Mickey Mouse ‘Camera and Sticker Box’ in issue two and a Mickey Mouse ‘Music Set’ in issue three.
Alison David, commercial director, Egmont, said: “We are delighted to be adding Playhouse Disney to our market leading pre-school portfolio.
“In addition to its educational value, Playhouse Disney is an extremely reputable, ‘safe’ brand that is universally endorsed by mums.
“We are sure our readers and their parents will love the variety of content and the fun activities offered by this brand new magazine.”
Other Disney titles published by Egmont include Disney & Me and Disney’s Princess, both of which have seen their circulations fall slightly over the past four years, according to ABC data.
