Electronic Telegraph Encouraging Interactivity

The Electronic Telegraph has decided to continue to develop its Internet database from its press archives and is concentrating on developing readership interaction. It is not, like many of its counterparts, going to launch a rolling news service.

The first fully interactive section went on-line today. Euronet is a guide to the history and issues surrounding the EU. Hotlinks take readers from the timeline summaries to original reports and Daily Telegraph editorial drawn from the paper’s archives. These pages are updated weekly and will include articles written by MPs, industry heads, Eurocrats and other commentators. Readers will be able to communicate their views and they will have the chance to vote on different European issues. Readers from across Europe are catered for as translations will be available in French, German and Spanish.
