Electronic Telegraph Postpones Fantasy League
The Electronic Telegraph’s Fantasy League Online, which launched last month, has been shut down, and aims to re-open again in December. Users who have registered have been refunded the entry cost.
The delay is due to software problems, but according to publisher Hugo Drayton “although our systems have been configured to cope with a high level of demand, the massive loads on these systems have highlighted some integration problems.”
The Fantasy League Online has signed up Littlewoods Pools as a sponsor, in what is Littlewoods first and seemingly unlucky, venture on the Web. However, they promise to develop further electronic competitions and other products for the Web.
