Elisabeth Murdoch is to leave BSkyB at the end of June. Currently managing director of Sky Networks, into which Sky Entertainment was merged last year (see St Luke’s Handed £50m Creative Account Following Sky Restructure), she said “It is with some lament that I leave such a winning team.”
The daughter of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, Elisabeth was appointed head of programming at Sky four years ago (see Ms Murdoch Becomes BSkyB Head). She is now leaving to set up a UK-based venture in television, film and new media content. Tony Ball, BSkyB chief executive said “We will miss her greatly and wish her well with her new venture.”
