Elle Lands Joint Deal With Ford

Emap’s Elle magazine has announced a joint advertising deal with car manufacturer Ford.
The deal will include the production of 2,000 Elle branded Ford Focus cars and will see Ford sponsor Elle‘s September catwalk supplement. The deal has been developed through Emap advertising and Mindshare, Ford’s advertising agency.
Martyn Rees, managing partner at Mindshare, said: “We are developing deeper relationships between Ford and like-minded brands.”

According to the monthly ABC results for the six months ending December 2001, Elle has seen circulation decline by 6.0% year on year to 210,861, down from 224,355 in December to June 2000.
