EMAP Active Appoints BBH As Its First Agency

EMAP Active, the consumer magazine publishing division created in July last year (see Emap Groups Leisure Titles Under Emap Active), has appointed Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) as its first advertising agency. The £3 million account will be handled by the through-the-line arm, BBH Unlimited.

Emap Active currently publishes 54 consumer titles with a combined circulation of over two million copies. This includes Max Power, Internet Magazine and Motorcycle News. BBH Unlimited will be responsible for promoting the entire portfolio of magazines across the whole range of media.

EMAP Active was formed by the merger of four EMAP publishing divisions – Apex, Pursuit, Nationals and Images – in order give the disparate titles a central identity.
