Emap Advertising has been awarded the contract to sell radio advertising spots during Trafficlink bulletins.
Trafficlink provides morning and evening traffic and travel updates to 150 national and local radio stations including Virgin Radio and TalkSport. Emap has set up a new department to sell airtime during the bulletins, along with slots during other programmes, including Friday Night Kiss.
Emap Advertising’s head of radio syndicated sales, Chris Maples, said: “Trafficlink is a fantastic package for advertisers. High attention airtime, plus solus spots, make this a great opportunity for advertisers wishing to reach a national radio audience. In addition, the syndication of Emap’s key properties such as Friday night Kiss allows advertisers access to very specific audiences on a national basis.”
Helen Robinson of Trafficlink, added: “It’s great to be able to sell this package and service our clients with the increased range of research and marketing facilities available at Emap Advertising.”
Earlier this week, Emap Performance announced plans to launch dance music station Kiss across GWR’s local digital radio multiplex network. The deal, which will bring Kiss to digital listeners in Bristol, Swindon and Wolverhampton, will increase the station’s potential UK audience by around 9 million listeners (see Emap’s Kiss To Launch Across GWR Digital Multiplex).
