Emap Groups Leisure Titles Under Emap Active

Publishing giant Emap has announced that it is bringing its leisure and lifestyle magazine titles under the newly-created division of Emap Active.

In an attempt to give the currently disparate titles a central identity, the magazines currently published by the Emap Apex, Nationals, Images and Pursuit departments will all operate under Emap Active. This will see Emap Active receiving 58 lifestyle and recreation magazines.

Malcolm Gough has been appointed as group managing director of the new venture. Gough says: “Emap Active has been created for three main reasons to encourage faster growth, to create a group identity for these magazines and to share best practice… There are obvious advantages in sharing our knowledge and experience across the old company divides.”
