Emap Launches Radio Programme With Daily Star
Emap On Air, the Emap radio and TV sales house, has announced a £400,000 tie-up with the Daily Star to sponsor its new football slot called Who Ate All The Pies.
Described as Football Focus meets They Think It’s All Over, the show will be hosted by Nick Hancock and broadcast across all of Emap’s major stations including Kiss 100, Piccadilly 1152, Metro FM/GNR, Hallam FM, Red Rose 999, 96.7 City FM, 96.9 Viking FM, TFM and the new96.3 Aire FM.
Who Ate All The Pies will also be fully integrated into the Daily Star‘s editorial, featuring in the paper’s Saturday sports section every week. Emap believes that the programme “offers the perfect, new environment for major consumer brands to target a young and predominantly male audience of football fans” with solar spot advertising being sold in packages.
The programme launches at 1pm on 9 August.
