Emap, which has recently been very active in takeovers, both within magazine publishing and also other media, such as the Trans World radio group, looks set to continue in its drive for growth.
Emap has today called for £77.2m in a rights issue, which will enable it to continue in its expansion. The group said it “saw attractive opportunities for small to medium size acquisitions which complement our core businesses.”
The issue has been offered on a one-for-eight basis at 360p per share. Emap’s shares fell 2p this morning to 416p at 11am.
