EMAP On Air has signed a £500,000 sponsorship deal with Warner Village Cinemas. A film show, Moviezone, will broadcast on selected stations giving listeners up-to-date information about current releases.
The station involved in the deal are part of the Big City network in Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Preston and Sheffield. This newly-formed network aims at the 15-34 age group. The show will also be advertised on Warner screens, giving details of its air-times, and is seen by the radio group as a good way to attract new listeners and local advertisers..
