EMAP Radio Appoints Commercial Manager For Internet Division

EMAP Radio has appointed Bruce Daisley as national commercial manager for the group’s new internet business, unveiled earlier in the year (see Emap Radio To Launch Online Gateway To The North). Daisley will be responsible for cultivating and developing relationships with major internet brands and will report directly to the division’s managing director, Iain Clasper.

The new EMAP internet business, as yet unnamed, is planning to create a series of online sites which provide content for regional and local areas around the country. EMAP intends to use its existing radio brands, which include the Kiss and Magic stations, to create more leverage from the relationship between radio and the internet.

Separately, EMAP Radio has appointed Dave Lincoln to the newly-created role of broadcast director for all of EMAP’s radio stations. Lincoln was previously managing director of the group’s Key 103 and Magic 1152 stations. He will work alongside EMAP On Air to develop sponsorship and promotions related revenue opportunities.
