Emap Set To Launch New Celebrity Magazine

Emap is expected to launch a new weekly celebrity title at the end of September to capitalise on the success of Heat.

The new magazine has been described as an adult version of Heat and will compete against OK and Hello.

Emap’s market share of the celebrity sector has been diminished by the closure of Celebrity Looks in February. However, ABC results for the six month period ending in June 2002 showed a 103.4% increase in Heat‘s circulation year on year(see

Press reports have suggested that new title will have a launch budget of £10 million, although Emap are yet to comment on the launch.
