EMAP To Promote Big City Network As National Brand
EMAP On Air is to offer advertisers a cohesive sponsorship and promotions package based around its Big City Network of radio stations. For the first time the Big City stations, which target 15-34s in large cities, will be launched as a national brand by EMAP.
The Big City Network, part of EMAP’s new Performance Network of music-related activities (see EMAP Creates Dedicated ‘Community Networks’), will be launched under a ‘bold new identity’, with creative developed by Tucker Clarke-Williams. The Big City Network contains a number of stations across the North and Yorkshire, including Key 103, 97.4 Rock FM and Hallam FM.
Tom Toumazis, UK consumer advertising sales director for EMAP Group Ad Sales, says: “Developing the Big City brand will make sure we maintain our position as leaders in the 15-34 market. The design’s bold, modern look, will make member stations of the brand instantly recognisable. This will benefit advertisers and media buyers, who can capitalise on listener loyalty.”
