Emap Widens Role Of Kiss FM Director

Emap Radio has promoted Jon Mansfield, business development director of Kiss FM, to the new post of business development director for all of its 18 UK stations. Mansfeild will now oversee the group’s three main brands – Magic, Big City and Kiss FM.

Dee Ford, managing director at Emap Radio says: “John has developed a hugely successful and very dynamic division at Kiss FM. We now want to utilise his creative drive and entrepreneurial spirit across all of the radio brands.”

John Mansfield will report directly to Mel Booth, managing director of Viking and Magic 1161 AM who has group responsibilities for revenue generating brand extensions.

Kiss FM underwent some restructuring towards the end of last year (see Newsline) and Mike Soutar, who switched roles from managing director to creative director at Emap Radio, left the group to become editor-in-chief of the US version of Dennis Publishing’s Maxim magazine (see Newsline).
