Emap’s Key 103 Goes For Commonwealth Gold

Emap Performance’s Manchester-based Key 103 has been awarded a new radio licence to operate during the Commonwealth Games in July.
The new station, called The Games, will broadcast 24-hours a day on 87.8 FM and, operating on a restricted licence, will provide entertainment guides, event information, traffic news and music.
Managing director of Key 103, Tom Hunter, said: “We feel that its very important to reflect the vibe of the city during the games themselves. This new licence will certainly help us to do this. We are all 100% behind the biggest event this country has seen. This will be reflected in our broadcasting format.”
Key 103 saw its weekly reach increase by 3.2% period on period to 816,000, according to the latest RAJAR data.
