Emery’s ITV Promotions Statement

Recently appointed director of market strategy at the ITV Network Centre, Dick Emery has issued his first letter to advertisers stressing ITV’s commitment to ensuring the maximum value of commercials.

Commenting on recent criticisms of ITV’s self-promotion policies Emery claims that programme promotions build audiences for specific programmes while maintaining ITV’s share of viewing – therefore giving ITV and its advertisers a common objective on the issue.

Denying that there has been a change in the amount of time allocated to promotions he states that work is underway to highlight where improvements in promotion could be made to ensure ITV achieves the optimum balance between audience delivery and commercial messages.
